Helping Our Neighbors in Need

Every day a family or individual experiences hardships. Rent or utility increases, sickness or death, unemployment or homelessness are life-changing events that are never planned or welcomed, but there is help and hope.

The Center provides many opportunities for friends to help our Neighbors in Need. Find your passion and join the neighborhood today!

Volunteerism is the voice of the people put into action. These actions shape and mold the present into a future of which we can all be proud.

– Helen Dyer

Community Partners

We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.

– Winston Churchill

Our Community Partners represent many wonderful groups, clubs and organizations who believe as we do that no one should go hungry. Whether organizing a food drive or fundraiser or investing in our mission through community grants, we are most fortunate to be chosen by these incredible partners. Corporate Partners

A business that makes nothing but money is a poor business.

– Henry Ford

When your Company (big or small) partners with the Neighborhood Center, you not only align with a respected and credible nonprofit organization, but also South Lake County’s largest food pantry. Our Corporate Partnership packages are designed to help meet the goals of both the Center and the Company with benefits that support the Company’s ROI as well as team building (e.g., work parties). Let us develop a partnership for your company.

Faith Partners

It’s not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving.

– Mother Teresa

Over five decades ago, a very special group of six women from First United Methodist Church of Clermont were volunteering in their church and decided they could do more to help our neighbors in need.

Their compassion and kindness started this mission of care that continues today. Our many Faith Partners are an important part of their legacy, helping The Center serve the most vulnerable through donations, food drives, volunteering and referrals about our programs.
